Starting from Wednesday 30 July, in the Park of Villa Arbusto, three evenings to tell the story of the cinema of an author animated by a sincere civil conscience and a rare ability to bring to the screen, with a polemical spirit and irony, the great social, political transformations and customs of our country, becoming an absolutely leading figure in Italian cinema of the second half of the twentieth century.
Also much loved in France, Scola wrote masterpieces such as “Il sorpasso” by Dino Risi and “I knew her well” by Antonio Pietrangeli, directed films such as “Drama of jealousy”, “Ugly dirty and bad”, “A particular day”, “The terrace”, “The family” and “The journey of Captain Fracassa”, managing to work with all the great star performers of our cinema.
An institution, that of the Circolo Sadoul Higher Education Summer School, which was born from the long collaboration with the Italian Institute for Philosophical Studies and which returns to Lacco Ameno for the fourth consecutive year after the editions dedicated to Pier Paolo Pasolini, Federico Fellini and Vittorio De Sica.
